How to get to River Bend Resort:
DeTour Village is at the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Travel time from Detroit or Grand Rapids is approximately 5 1/2 hours.  From Green Bay is about 7 hours.

FROM THE MACKINAC BRIDGE AND ALL POINTS SOUTH
Travel approximately 18 miles north of the Mackinac Bridge on I-75, take Exit 359 onto M-134 East toward DeTour Village. (Watch out for deer!) DeTour is about 40 miles from I-75. Proceed through town, River Bend Resort cabins are on the right just past the Marina, check-in at the office just across the street.  From the bridge to DeTour takes about 1 hour.

FROM SAULT STE. MARIE (the SOO) and CANADA
Take M-129 South, 2 Miles south of Pickford go left (East) on M-48. Proceed approximately 20 miles and take a left onto North Caribou Lake Road. You will travel about 10 miles to DeTour Village, River Bend Resort in on the left as you enter town.  From the Sault to DeTour takes about 1 hour.

FROM WISCONSIN
Take US-2 East to St. Ignace, then go North on I-75. Exit 359 onto M-134 East toward DeTour Village. DeTour is about 40 miles from I-75. Proceed through town, River Bend Resort is on the right just past the Marina.

FROM DRUMMOND ISLAND
Take the Ferry back to DeTour Village, it's FREE !!!!  The ferry ride takes about 10 minutes.

Arriving By Air
Local airports are approximately an hour away.  You can fly into either CIU (Chippewa County/Sault Ste. Marie) or PLN (Pellston) via Northwest Airlines.    These airports both have rental cars available in the summer, or you can hire shuttle service to bring you to DeTour.  Some of our guests fly to TVC (Traverse City) and then drive up.  Traverse City is serviced by United and American as well as Northwest Airlines.  We have recently experienced lower prices through Flint, FNT, or try the new airport in Marquette, Sawyer International Airport.

River Bend Resort is at the north end of town at 616 Ontario St, between Pine and Democrat streets.   We are next to the marina, you can't miss it.  The office is located across the street from the cabins at 625 Ontario St. it is a green & white house. (before construction)

If you are staying at one of the vacation properties please stop in the office to check in first.  We will provide your keys, information package, maps (and boating charts) or directions to get to any of the locations. 

STORAGE AVAILABLE: For Trailered Boats, RV's and Snowmobiles We have a storage building with a big overhead door and 60'x45' floor space.  And with today's gas price, it saves the cost of towing multiple times to the area.  Short Term Cost is $15/week for storage, for approximately 10'x25' space, seasonal is $275 for winter (October-May), $150 summer (May-Sept).
