Several people have asked to see this
picture, this is the building being moved uptown 5 blocks.
This was fall 2006.
River Bend
Suites: We have 4
units available in our new building. These have been
completely remodeled. The units are large 730 square foot
1 bedroom suites, that sleep 4-5 people. Unit #2 has
two doubles beds, the others have queen-size beds, and all have
futon couches in the living room for extra sleeping space. The
suites are fully outfitted for vacation rental, including full
kitchens, linens, private balconies and CABLE TV. They have "the
nicest view in town", according to our customers!

DeTour Village is located at the eastern end
of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is surrounded by views of the great waters, the St.
Mary’s River, DeTour Passage and Lake Huron. Enjoy views of 1000-foot
freighters, the WGLPA pilot boat in operation, fishing, snowmobiling,
rocky & sandy beaches and nature trails. Order a DTV euro-style window decal. Follow this link for
Drummond Island
information.
The
resort is located in the village next to DeTour’s 80
slip DNR Marina. Just a short walk gets you to the ice cream shop,
numerous restaurants, gourmet coffee shop, groceries, antique, crafts and gift
shops, sporting goods including fishing supplies, and also local watering
holes. Other properties are on the water and located in or just a short drive from
town. See our new Great Waters inspired, self-guided itineraries on
our things-to-do page, and come to visit DeTour, a cute little
waterfront town with a bunch of friendly people.
This is a "Live Image" of the DeTour Marina and DeTour Passage,
occasionally you will see passing freighters or the DeTour/Drummond
ferry in view. Click the picture to open in a separate window and

So, come visit our little
town at the eastern end of the U.P. Lots of people go to Drummond
Island, but nobody seems to have been to DeTour, which is impossible if
you drive here. That's fine, our Village is cute, the people are
friendly, we have an awesome marina. There is lots of snowmobile
access, great shops, restaurants and services. We have excellent water
views, waterfront gardens, parks and beaches. You can fish, boat,
snowmobile, or just relax and watch passing Freighters, enjoy a stroll
to quaint shops with an ice-cream cone or gourmet Coffee. You don't need
to wait in the ferry line-up, to enjoy the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
We are members of "The Great Waters" and Michigan' UP Travel
Association, and at the center of 3 of the Great Lakes Circle Tours.
We also follow resource conservation methods outlined by the
Superior Watershed Partnership.
